Revelation 20:11-15

Judgment Of The Dead

Revelation 20:11: “And I” [John] “saw" [A vision of] "a great white throne, and him” [The Most High] “that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.” The earth and the heaven which fled away from the face of the Most High.

Revelation 20:12: “And I” [John] “saw the dead,” [All flesh, that have lived and died upon the earth, from the time of creation until the final judgment (except the 144,000)] “small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened:” [Records kept of everyone’s works] “and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books,” [Records kept of everyone] “according to their works.”

Revelation 20:13: “And the sea gave up the dead [Bodies] “which were in it; and death” [Bodies in the graves] “and hell [Spirits belonging to each body] “delivered up the dead which were in them: and they” [The dead] “were judged every man” [In their bodies] “according to their works.”

Revelation 20:14: “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”

Revelation 20:15: “And whosoever” [Of the dead standing before God, whose names] “was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” This is the judgment for those who do not fear the Most High, Matthew 10:28: “...but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Death, hell, and the wicked (with their bodies), will be cast into the lake of fire.
