Roman 3:23-26

The Righteousness of God

Romans 3:23: "For all” [Both Jews and Gentiles] “have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"


Romans 3:24: "Being justified freely by his” [God’s] “grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:"


Romans 3:25: "Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation” [An atoning sacrifice] “through faith in his” [Christ Jesus’] “blood, to declare his” [God’s] righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance” [Mercy] “of God;"


Romans 3:26: "To declare, I” [Paul] “say, at this time” [The time period of Paul’s ministry] “his” [God’s] righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him” [All, both Jews and Gentiles] “which believeth in Jesus."
