Elijah Must First Come

Malachi 4:5: "Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:"


Malachi 4:6: "And he shall turn the heart of the fathers" [The teachers] "to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse."




Matthew 17:10-11

Matthew 17:10: "And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias" [Elijah] "must first come?"


Matthew 17:11: "And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things."




Jeremiah 3:15

The LORD Will Set Up His Teachers

Jeremiah 3:15: "And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding."




Jeremiah 23:1-8

Jeremiah 23:1: "Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD."


Jeremiah 23:2: "Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD."


Jeremiah 23:3: "And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase."


Jeremiah 23:4: "And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD."


Jeremiah 23:5: "Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth."


Jeremiah 23:6: "In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS."


Jeremiah 23:7: "Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;"


Jeremiah 23:8: "But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land."




Isaiah 30:18-21

Isaiah 30:18: "And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him."


Isaiah 30:19: "For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee."


Isaiah 30:20: "And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:"


Isaiah 30:21: "And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left."




Revelation 11:3-6

Revelation 11:3: “And I [Christ] will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days," [Three and half years] "clothed in sackcloth.”


Revelation 11:4: “These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.”


Revelation 11:5: “And if any man will hurt them,” [The Two Witnesses] “fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.”


Revelation 11:6: “These” [The Two Witnesses] “have power to shut heaven, that it rain not” [draught] “in the days of their prophecy:" [The thousand two hundred and threescore days mentioned in verse 3] "and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.”
