The Man of Sin

Message to reader: Thessalonians Chapter 2

This letter, sent to the church in Thessalonica, warns the followers of Christ about The Man of Sin, and the events that will take place in their time period. Additionally, The Man of Sin’s spirit will be brought back, in the end as the BEAST whose deadly wound was healed, see 2 Thessalonians 2:3 and Revelation 17:8-11. The final judgment of The Man of Sin was prophesied in both 2 Thessalonians 2:8 and Revelation 19:11, 20

2 Thessalonians 2:1-25

2 Thessalonians 2:2: “That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ" [The coming of our Lord Jesus Christ] "is at hand.” See John 6:37-40 and John 5:25.

2 Thessalonians 2:3: “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day" [The coming of our Lord Jesus Christ] "shall not come, except there come a falling away first,” [People in the churches leaving Christ] “and that Man of Sin be revealed, the son of perdition;” See 1 John 2:18-19.

2 Thessalonians 2:4: “Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God," [See 1 Corinthians 1:2 and 1 Corinthians 3:16-17] "shewing himself that he" [The Man of Sin] "is God.”

2 Thessalonians 2:5: “Remember ye not, that, when I" [Paul] "was yet with you," [In the church of the Thessalonians] "I told you these things?”

2 Thessalonians 2:6: “And now ye know what withholdeth” [What had to be fulfilled] “that he” [The Man of Sin] “might be revealed in his time.” Explained in verse 8.

2 Thessalonians 2:7: “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he” [The Most High] “who now” [During that time period] “letteth will let,” [The “Man of Sin” continue in his wickedness] “until he” [The Man of Sin] “be taken out of the way.” Put to death.

2 Thessalonians 2:8: “And then” [After the death of The Man of Sin] “shall that Wicked" [The Man of Sin] "be revealed,” [As a liar and deceiver] “whom the Lord” [Christ when he returns] “shall” [Future prophesy] “consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:” See Revelation 19:11, 15, 19-20.

2 Thessalonians 2:9: “Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan" [See John 8:44 and Revelation 13:4-8] "with all power and signs and lying wonders,” See Revelation 13:3.

2 Thessalonians 2:10: “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they" [Fell away and worshipped The Man of Sin, see verse 3 and 1 Peter 4:17-18] "received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”

2 Thessalonians 2:11: “And for this cause God shall" [Future prophecy] "send them” [Those that fell away] “strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:” See Revelation 13:8.
